Lead Software Engineer - Backend with DevOps

Overview

Lead DevOps Engineer (hybrid) working as a senior individual contributor to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines and Azure cloud infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Build internal tooling, shared workflows, and self-serve infrastructure to improve engineering productivity.
• Design, implement, review, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices end to end.
• Deliver production-ready CD pipelines and implement safe deployment strategies.
• Contribute to .NET services and internal tooling in C# .NET (and occasionally F#).
• Architect and manage Azure cloud infrastructure using Azure Bicep with availability, scalability, and security.
• Drive automation across build, test, deployment, and monitoring processes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure and maintain documentation.

What you'll need

• 6–8 years of combined experience in DevOps and software development.
• Hands-on experience in C# .NET (or equivalent).
• Advanced scripting skills including PowerShell and also Bash and/or Python.
• Proficiency with version control such as Git (or equivalent).
• Practical experience with Azure and Azure DevOps, including production-grade environment management.
• Strong Kubernetes skills, including AKS or production Kubernetes cluster management/troubleshooting.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as TeamCity, Azure Pipelines, and GitHub Actions.
