DataOps Engineer IV

Overview

Own and operate the Snowflake data platform supporting customer-facing product data. Focus on Snowflake administration, performance and cost optimization, data pipelines, security, and platform reliability.

What you'll do

• Administer multiple Snowflake accounts, configurations, organization structure, and governance.
• Optimize Snowflake performance and costs through warehouse sizing, resource monitors, query tuning, and storage optimization.
• Maintain Fivetran connectors and support dbt models feeding product-facing datasets.
• Troubleshoot pipeline, transformation, access, and performance issues.
• Integrate pipeline and Snowflake health metrics into centralized monitoring and alerting.
• Manage Snowflake security, access reviews, SSO, audit logging, and compliance evidence.
• Contribute to runbooks, postmortems, infrastructure-as-code, and change management.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform administration.
• Hands-on production experience running Snowflake.
• Working knowledge of dbt and Fivetran or comparable ELT tools.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with Git-based version control and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Cloud SRE or DevOps experience, mainly with AWS.
• Experience with access management, SSO configuration, and audit or compliance processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with QuickSight or similar BI tools.
• Experience with Terraform, Python, multi-cloud environments, or GRC.
• SnowPro Core or Administrator certification.
