Design Engineer

Overview

Design Engineer role focused on defining a modern design-to-code workflow and generating production-ready UI components.

What you'll do

• Generate production-ready components from design work.
• Use AI coding tools to ship at production velocity.
• Rethink and improve the design-to-engineering handoff process.
• Translate fluently between design and engineering to align teams.
• Sweat implementation details to ensure pixel- and token-level accuracy.
• Operate in fluid processes and help shape team workflow as you ship.

What you'll need

• Fluency in both Figma and code (React Native or React).
• Active use of AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, v0, or similar) at production velocity.
• Fluency in design tokens, component architecture, and design-system-to-code mapping.
• Experience shipping on cross-functional teams where design and engineering overlap.
• Strong communication across design and engineering disciplines.
• A track record of operating in fluid environments and defining how teams work.
