Overview
Product Designer contributing to end-to-end digital experiences for Care Access participants, members, and the internal teams who serve them, translating complex needs across health screenings, clinical research, participant engagement, recruitment, member services, and operational workflows into clear, accessible product experiences.
What you'll do
- Design and iterate on user flows, wireframes, low- and high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and final interface specifications, primarily using Figma or comparable tools.
- Explore multiple concepts, document edge cases and interaction states, incorporate stakeholder critique and user feedback, and provide developers with clear behaviors, content, and visual details for implementation.
- Apply and contribute to the living design system, selecting appropriate patterns, documenting new reusable components and interaction guidance, and identifying gaps or potential improvements.
- Develop an understanding of and act as a subject matter expert on assigned product areas, user needs, operational workflows, and business goals, and translate findings into design opportunities and clear problem statements.
- Support product discovery and design validation through user interviews, usability sessions, stakeholder conversations, and review of user feedback, including preparing research questions and prototypes, observing or facilitating sessions, and capturing and prioritizing findings.
- Monitor and improve the quality and effectiveness of released product experiences by partnering with product managers, engineers, and operational teams, identifying usability, accessibility, or workflow issues, recommending prioritized improvements, and verifying delivered experiences align with the approved design.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Experience designing responsive, multi-step workflows for participant-facing products, internal tools, or other complex digital experiences.
- Ability to apply, document, and contribute to a design system while maintaining consistency with established UI patterns.
- Working knowledge of accessibility principles and the ability to incorporate accessible interaction and visual-design practices into everyday work.
- Ability to participate in user interviews and usability testing, synthesize feedback, and convert insights into actionable design improvements.
- Ability to communicate design rationale clearly, present work remotely, and give and receive specific, constructive feedback.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with design, product, engineering, research, and business or operational stakeholders in a remote environment.
- Ability to work independently, surface risks or questions early, manage competing priorities, and adapt when product assignments or business needs change.
- Comfort working close to implementation, including discussing interaction behavior and technical constraints with engineers.
- Curiosity about using AI-enabled tools to accelerate exploration, prototyping, documentation, or iteration while applying sound design judgment.
- Empathy, respect, sound judgment, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Minimum education: GED (to comply with Care Access minimum requirement).
- Minimum experience: 2+ years of product design, UX design, or UI design experience contributing to digital products as part of a cross-functional team, with demonstrated experience taking assigned work from discovery and concept development through detailed design and implementation support.
