Developer Community Manager

Overview

Smartsheet seeks a Developer Community Manager to build and lead its developer community from the ground up in Bengaluru.

What you'll do

• Respond to questions and threads across community platforms as the primary community voice.
• Moderate channels, enforce guidelines, and manage escalations professionally.
• Drive engagement by sparking conversations and keeping threads active.
• Host recurring office hours and AMAs, and nurture emerging contributors.
• Manage a content calendar and plan, create, and schedule community content.
• Design developer challenges, prompts, and hackathons to boost participation.
• Capture community feedback and triage bug/roadmap requests, reporting on community health metrics.

What you'll need

• 5 years of experience in developer relations or community management, with a track record building communities from scratch.
• Experience launching a community and scaling early engagement and membership.
• Experience establishing governance, moderation, and content programs on Slack and platforms like Discourse or Reddit.
• CS degree, equivalent software engineering experience, or open-source development foundation.
• Strong written communication for technical, warm responses at all user levels.
• Data-informed approach to track community health data and drive improvements.
• Cross-functional experience working with alignment-driving teams.
