Developer

Overview

Developer role focused on designing, developing, and improving software for business, platform, and technology capabilities. Includes secure, scalable development with collaboration across product and engineering, and leadership expectations for an Assistant Vice President-level position.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
• Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure integration with business objectives.
• Participate in code reviews and promote code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Follow secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
• Implement unit testing practices to support readability and reliability.
• Lead people and set objectives (or lead collaborative assignments as an individual contributor, depending on leadership responsibilities).

What you'll need

• Be highly proficient in AB initio development and standard techniques on UNIX and Hadoop and Linux.
• Have a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Have experience implementing medium to big scale data solutions.
• Have strong SQL skills including Hive and Impala and AWS DB technologies such as Athena.
• Have experience on AWS and cloud platforms.
• Have overall job scheduling knowledge on TWS.
• Have scripting experience using tools/languages such as DBT, Python, Databricks, and Shell scripting.
• Be able to work in an agile environment with evolving demands.

Nice to have

• Credit risk banking experience.
• Regulatory experience (IFRS9/BCBS) with control and compliance implementations.
• Managing development teams under Cloud and Hadoop technologies.
• Previous experience within Finance, Treasury and Risk functions.
