Device Modeling & Characterization Engineer

Overview

Device Modeling & Characterization Engineer for GlobalFoundries’ Ultra-Low-Power CMOS modeling team in Bangalore, working on compact (SPICE) device models used in FDSOI, FinFET, and Bulk technologies.

What you'll do

• Develop SPICE/compact models for FDSOI, FinFET, and Bulk MOSFET technologies.
• Design MOSFET characterization structures for compact model extraction.
• Create statistical (Montecarlo, Mismatch, fixed corner) models and related outputs.
• Deliver model-to-hardware correlation reports, including K and CpK analysis.
• Analyze and represent semiconductor devices using industry standard models.
• Work with device and modeling engineers to interpret test results and debug device/measurement issues.

What you'll need

• PhD in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience (as stated for PhD qualification).
• Master’s in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with 12+ years of experience (as an alternative qualification).
• Strong device physics knowledge, especially for MOSFETs.
• Knowledge of Fully Depleted SOI and FinFET (added advantage stated).
• Knowledge of test structures for compact model extraction (valuable stated).
