Overview
DevOps Engineer supporting the modernization of entitlement services by migrating OMES and UPMS from direct Salesforce account and contact dependencies to a backward-compatible API and integration layer. The role focuses on integration components, Infrastructure as Code, deployment pipelines, cutovers, entitlement and permission validation, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing.
What you'll do
- Repoint OMES and UPMS from direct Salesforce account and contact dependencies to the new backward-compatible API and integration layer.
- Design and build integration components connecting UPMS and OMES to the shielding layer.
- Preserve backward compatibility for downstream consumers during service, API, and hierarchy changes.
- Execute and support two cutovers for each system: cutover onto the shielding layer and cutover aligned to the Salesforce hierarchy change.
- Prepare, test, and maintain rollback plans and readiness activities for each cutover.
- Validate entitlement and permission integrity end-to-end across the OneMSCI Entitlements systems.
- Identify and resolve conditions that could result in client over-permissioning or under-permissioning.
- Contribute to program-wide quality assurance activities and support the compressed UAT window for permissioning flows.
- Support entitlement data migration aligned to approximately 8,800 new Segment Accounts.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, mapping verification, and migration-quality checks.
- Manage Infrastructure as Code and deployment pipelines for entitlement services affected by the migration.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD workflows for application, integration, infrastructure, and configuration changes.
- Build, test, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot Golang and Node.js services and integration components.
- Apply microservices architecture principles to create maintainable, scalable, resilient, and observable services.
- Collaborate with engineering, platform, infrastructure, security, testing, data, and business stakeholders.
- Investigate and resolve issues across applications, APIs, integrations, pipelines, infrastructure, data, and permissioning workflows.
- Document technical designs, integration mappings, deployment procedures, cutover plans, rollback steps, test evidence, and operational processes.
- Support efficient use of compute, storage, network, and deployment resources through automation and sustainable engineering practices.
- Develop, test, debug, and maintain Golang and Node.js microservices, REST APIs, shielding-layer integrations, and entitlement-service components.
- Deliver Terraform changes, CI/CD pipeline updates, deployment packages, migration validation, permission-integrity checks, test evidence, monitoring updates, and technical documentation.
- Make implementation and deployment decisions within approved architecture and security standards, maintain rollback readiness, resolve technical risks, and escalate issues affecting permissions, data integrity, service availability, or delivery timelines.
- Maintain continuous professional development in Golang, Node.js, cloud engineering, CI/CD, Terraform, microservices, API integration, identity and entitlement systems, testing, and secure DevOps practices.
