Director, Data Engineering

Overview

Director of Data Engineering leading hands-on architecture and operation of large-scale enterprise data platforms for analytics, ML, and GenAI workloads.

What you'll do

• Architect, build, deploy, and operate scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for analytics, ML, and GenAI.
• Use AI/ML and GenAI to design pipelines, including AI-assisted pipeline/schema design and optimized transformation logic.
• Automate data engineering workflows using AI techniques for ingestion, schema evolution, quality checks, anomaly detection, and tuning.
• Build and maintain feature engineering pipelines, training datasets, and feedback loops for production ML/GenAI.
• Enable GenAI use cases like unstructured data ingestion and retrieval pipelines (RAG) with governance-aware data flows.
• Ensure reliability, observability, lineage, security, and compliance standards across data and AI pipelines.

What you'll need

• 15+ years of experience owning and operating large-scale data engineering platforms in production.
• Hands-on expertise in Python and SQL.
• Deep experience on cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proven experience architecting distributed, high-performance data systems.
• Experience using AI/ML or GenAI to design, build, or optimize data pipelines.
• Experience supporting ML/AI systems in production, including feature pipelines, validation, monitoring, and retraining support.

• Location: Gurugram, India.
• Hybrid work model: at least 4 office days per week and flexibility to work from home 1 day per week.
