Director, Enterprise Sales Engineering - US Central

Overview

Director, Enterprise Sales Engineering leads a team of Sales Engineering leaders and drives regional account strategy and deal execution across North America.

What you'll do

• Lead in-field execution for strategic, high-impact enterprise opportunities.
• Develop and operationalize repeatable sales engineering methodology for large customer bases.
• Partner with Sales leadership on regional strategy, multi-quarter planning, capacity planning, and forecast alignment.
• Oversee high-quality delivery across technical sales cycles, including evaluations and deal progression.
• Lead, coach, and develop Sales Engineering leaders, including hiring, onboarding, and structured enablement.
• Manage regional operations such as resource allocation, KPI tracking, productivity, and skills development.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, Enablement, and Support to align GTM execution.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience leading frontline SE leaders in a customer-facing technical organization.
• 10+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a technical customer-facing role.
• Proven success leading solution engineering teams with senior stakeholders across Product, SRE, DevOps, and Engineering.
• Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels, balancing multi-quarter planning with day-to-day execution.
• Background in public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, APM/tracing, security, developer experience, observability, or adjacent SaaS technology.
• Deep understanding of sales methodologies such as MEDDICC and Command of Message (CoM) or similar frameworks.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support customer engagements or internal meetings.
