Senior Sales Engineer - NorthCentral

Overview

Senior Sales Engineer (NorthCentral) supporting Enterprise Sales Engineering engagements, partnering with Sales/Account Executives to drive technical evaluation, demos, and adoption.

What you'll do

• Own the sales process in partnership with Account Executives by leading and shaping technical strategy from qualification to Closed Won.
• Lead customer discovery to uncover technical challenges, business goals, and success criteria, then translate into tailored solutions.
• Deliver engaging product demos, technical presentations, and workshops connecting platform capabilities to customer outcomes.
• Manage technical evaluations (POVs) end-to-end, including scoping use cases, defining success criteria, and building project plans with timelines.
• Identify and cultivate technical champions within customer accounts to advocate for adoption and drive internal consensus.
• Maintain operational excellence by ensuring activity and deal progress are accurately documented in related systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Support, and GTM teams to address customer needs and resolve technical blockers.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a technical customer-facing role in an enterprise environment.
• Experience navigating multi-stakeholder environments and adapting communication for technical, business, and executive audiences.
• Background in public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, APM/tracing, security, developer experience, and observability.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to a range of audiences.
• Consultative approach to problem-solving and customer engagement.
• Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support customer engagements.
