Overview
Director of Engineering responsible for strategic leadership and operational success for an engineering department/function across multiple subordinate managers and individual contributors.
What you'll do
- Provide direct and ongoing strategic leadership for an engineering organization.
- Create strategic/tactical operations and resource plans aligned to business and technology roadmaps.
- Manage headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs to meet goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Engage with program managers, marketing, supply chain, technical leaders, and executives to communicate status and guide decisions.
- Manage senior relationships and escalated issues with outsourced partners and suppliers, including deliverables, quality, schedules, and costs.
- Provide people-care management for direct reports, including hiring and annual performance plans.
What you'll need
- Typically 15 or more years of related work experience.
- Typically 10 years of people management experience.
- First level university degree or equivalent experience required.
- Strong leadership skills including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution.
- Organizational and strategic management skills including budget and business planning and forecasting.
- Advanced communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation; mastery in English and local language.
- Good understanding of the company’s policies and processes.
