Overview

Director of Software Engineering to lead development of Nike’s Product Design and Development platforms and experiences.

What you'll do

• Lead, support, and develop team members while managing priorities.
• Plan engineering capacity to enable scalable delivery.
• Manage third-party engagements and vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to align execution with organizational priorities.
• Lead software delivery to innovate and deliver business value at scale.
• Establish best practices for scalable, cloud-based service architectures.

What you'll need

• 15+ years leading high-performing software engineering teams.
• 5+ years managing direct reports.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript/React/Vue/Angular.
• Hands-on knowledge of backend service technologies such as Java/Node.js/Python.
• Experience with cloud-native distributed system technologies on AWS (e.g., EC2, ECS, DynamoDB, Lambda, S3).
• Experience with Agile software development, DevOps, observability tools, and modern architecture patterns (e.g., micro-services, domain driven design).

Nice to have

• Experience with 3D design (Blender, Rhino, CLO), visualization, game development, or AI/ML solutions.
