Documentation Tools Manager

Overview

Manager for the Documentation (Doc) Tools team within the Builder Experience organization.

What you'll do

• Lead a team of engineers building and maintaining help.okta.com and developer.okta.com content sites.
• Lead adoption of AI into the team’s day-to-day deliverables.
• Work with Doc Tools leads to develop and implement the documentation tools roadmap.
• Recruit, mentor, retain, and develop engineers.
• Set clear priorities, expectations, and accountability for individuals and the team.
• Collaborate with Doc Tools leads to support delivery of Builder Experience roadmap projects.

What you'll need

• Have managed software engineering teams with end-to-end ownership of technical stack and production performance.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, and Claude.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including GitHub, CircleCI, Vercel, and Artifactory.
• Experience building high-performing engineering teams.
• Comfort leading geographically distributed teams.
• 10+ years of experience as an engineer with significant frontend experience; 3+ years building and leading a team.
