EDA Tools Hardware Engineer

Overview

Design and support custom design infrastructure, EDA methodologies, and automation solutions for semiconductor testchip development across advanced technology nodes.

What you'll do

• Enable testchip integration, custom layout design, E-Test structures, design libraries, and verification flows.
• Develop automation frameworks using SKILL, Python, and scripting languages.
• Automate layout generation, library management, data migration, and design-flow optimization.
• Enable and validate CAD environments, version-control systems, and database infrastructures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on full-chip integration, DRC/LVS verification, tape-in readiness, and silicon characterization.

What you'll need

• 3–10 years of experience in CAD software development, VLSI, or Design Enablement.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in SKILL, Python, and TCL/PERL programming.
• Knowledge of VLSI concepts and EDA tools such as Cadence or Synopsys.
• Knowledge of custom layout, data structures, algorithms, and software optimization.
• Familiarity with version control, testing, and quality assurance practices.

Nice to have

• Exposure to C/C++ or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Knowledge of P-cell development and testchip integration.
• Exposure to AI-based applications in EDA tools.
