Electronic Engineer

Overview

Electronic Engineer to join the R&D team in Jena and lead end-to-end custom electronic board development from concept to physical testing.

What you'll do

• Design, architect, and deliver custom electronic boards from system requirements to board-level implementation.
• Own hands-on prototype board bring-up, functional validation, and troubleshooting.
• Identify and execute component re-designs to improve product reliability.
• Address hardware end-of-life updates.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary global R&D teams to integrate hardware into finished products.

What you'll need

• Background in Electronics Engineering or a closely related technical field.
• Proven experience in independent electronic board design and system-level electronic development.
• English proficiency for working proficiency.
• German skills at B1/B2 minimum.
• Ability to test, troubleshoot, and validate physical hardware in a lab environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with ARM processor architectures or FPGA design.
• Previous experience in a dedicated hardware R&D facility.
