Engineer

Overview

Review customer inputs and generate 2D and 3D drawings, bill of materials and detailed technical documentation for compressor Gas Panel systems, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery of assigned engineering tasks with minimal supervision.

What you'll do

• Review customer inputs and understand the job scope.
• Generate 2D and 3D drawings, bill of materials and other detailed technical documentation for compressor Gas Panel systems.
• Ensure on-time performance of assigned tasks and a high level of quality without close supervision.
• Execute engineering and design orders cleanly, in coordination with regional representatives and aligned to global requirements.
• Liaise with regional engineering representatives, Operations, sub-suppliers and other departments to ensure technical compliance of system orders.
• Effectively utilize tools including PLM Nexus, SAP, OEPDMS and other engineering tools.
• Perform tasks associated with complicated layout design for non-standard products and generate shop floor fabrication drawings.
• Identify and implement manufacturing improvements through continuous engagement with fabricators.
• Perform engineering calculations and develop tools for productivity improvements.
• Review others' output and offer constructive feedback for development.
• Coach an associate or a team to execute their work effectively.

What you'll need

• Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering graduate with 3+ years of experience in a similar engineering industry.
• Strong knowledge of API 614/692.
• Versatile on international standards such as ASME, IEC, NEC, CSA and ATEX, etc.
• Well versed in all kinds of instrumentation (selections, applications, variations).
• Knowledge of zone classification and hazardous classifications.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and Draftsight.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with a track record of managing large projects.
• Continuous improvement mindset and high degree of comfort with engineering tools and related technologies.
• Familiar with manufacturing processes and metallurgy.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• Strong technical acumen and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work an extended flexible schedule under deadline pressures.
• Flexible, self-motivated, with a positive and proactive approach and a strong customer service ethic.
• Good time management.
• Ownership of actions, initiative in process betterment, and passion for learning and mentoring.

Nice to have

• Experience in Gas Panel engineering function.
