Engineer, BMS Applications

Overview

Engineer responsible for commissioning Building Management System (BMS) projects, coordinating site activities, supporting technical delivery, and providing appropriate solutions based on customer requirements.

What you'll do

• Perform commissioning activities and address the technical disciplines involved in projects.
• Coordinate and complete assigned commissioning work at the project site.
• Monitor compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
• Interact with clients and consultants to interpret their requirements and provide the optimized solution.
• Perform overall quality control of the work and report regularly on project status.
• Coordinate and communicate with the project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
• Review commissioning deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
• Understand customer requirements and provide the appropriate solution within the system offered.
• Travel for commissioning activities.

What you'll need

• 6-8 years of experience.
• B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics or Instruments.
• Good knowledge of commissioning BMS systems (Building Management System); this is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of BMS communication protocols including BACNet, Modbus, LON, and MBUS.
• Good knowledge of application programming, such as logic diagrams and FBD.
• Hands-on experience in BMS commissioning and logic/graphics preparation.
• Proven working experience as a Commissioning Engineer.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards, best practices, and performance standards.
• Ability to work with multiple-discipline projects.
• Hands-on experience in ALC and Tridium products.

Nice to have

• Fair domain knowledge of HVAC systems such as AHU, VAV, and chiller plants.
• In-depth knowledge of databases such as Derby, MYSQL, MSSQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of digital technology such as IoT, cloud computing, and analytics applications.
