Sr. Application Engineer II - Presales - BMS - Data Center

Overview

Sr. Application Engineer II supporting presales activities for building management systems in data centers. The role focuses on reviewing project requirements, designing BMS solutions, preparing estimates and bills of materials, and delivering engineering outputs.

What you'll do

• Review project inputs, specifications, scope, and overall requirements.
• Review MEP drawings and identify HVAC equipment, dampers, and sensors.
• Prepare and participate in project kick-off and review meetings.
• Select hardware, software, equipment, materials, and services for project budgeting.
• Create bills of materials for BMS devices and equipment.
• Prepare Building Automation System network architecture.
• Ensure quality, effective deliverables, and on-time delivery.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of relevant experience in the building automation industry and BMS design engineering.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, including chilled water systems, cooling towers, pumps, AHUs, FCUs, and VAV systems.
• Strong knowledge of BMS architecture, controllers, operator workstations, sensors, and actuators.
• Knowledge of BACnet, LON, Modbus, OPC, MQTT, SNMP, and other network protocols.
• Experience engineering, installing, and commissioning HVAC and BMS systems.
• Experience with automation, including PLC programming and SCADA.
• Hands-on experience with Visio or AutoCAD.

Nice to have

• BE or ME in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Electronics and Communication.
