Engineer- CSE South

Overview

Engineer (CSE South) role at KONE's Chennai South team, responsible for keeping solution documentation and data up to date, approved and stored, and for executing standard order, approval, costing and change-order processes.

What you'll do

• Keep solution documentation and data up to date, approved and stored in the appropriate place, including approval documents, authority approval documents, owner manuals, user manuals, 'as built' technical customer documentation, relevant layout and cost documents, compliance documents and other relevant technical documents.
• Based on seniority, may be responsible for customer building adaptations and local translations of layouts (2D, 3D, BIM).
• Based on seniority, may be responsible for local codes, regulations and safety requirements compliance.
• Based on seniority, may be responsible for environmental regulations compliance.
• Handle the standard order process from 0b to 2z.
• Execute the standard layout approval process with internal stakeholders and with customers.
• Order standard materials (and create POs) from Supply Line and validate the required local materials.
• Provide definitions for local materials PRs.
• Participate in pre-delivery reviews to identify deviations in material costs.
• Execute costing and pricing approval processes as needed.
• Execute contract technical validation reviews and approval processes.
• Execute change order processes (variations and addworks).
• In high-volume units, execute other transactional processes, such as customer document approval processes (layouts, drawings etc.) and contract technical content review processes.
• Provide quality assurance that the technical solution documents exist in the systems, such as PDM.
• Provide quality assurance of lessons-learned documentation.
• Confirm SAP S-Plan Milestones 1b, 1c and 2 according to project plans.
• Notify Project Managers and Project admins in case rescheduling is required for SAP S-plan milestones 1b, 1c or 2 in the project plan.
• Update and maintain the quality of the CSE Case library.

• Location: Chennai (RSO).
• Opportunity to develop a specialisation, e.g. layouts of standard products and minor local modifications, BIM modelling, conducting after-certification site surveys, or becoming a key user for a CSE IT tool such as a CAD, BIM or workflow tool.
