Overview
Engineer responsible for developing and maintaining embedded software drivers, bus frameworks, and communication protocols for embedded platforms.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, debug, and maintain embedded software drivers and bus frameworks.
- Develop and support I2C, SPI, UART, I3C, PCIe, and other platform bus technologies.
- Investigate driver issues and identify root causes using logs, traces, crashes, and system behavior.
- Work with hardware, firmware, and system teams to implement software solutions.
- Participate in board bring-up, platform enablement, and silicon validation.
- Execute unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and code reviews.
- Create software design documents, test plans, and release documentation.
What you'll need
- 2–5 years of experience in embedded software development.
- Strong programming skills in C.
- Understanding of embedded systems and microcontroller or microprocessor architecture.
- Knowledge of RTOS or embedded operating system concepts.
- Understanding of interrupt handling, synchronization, multitasking, and memory management.
- Familiarity with driver development and debugging techniques.
- BE, BTech, or MTech in ECE, CSE, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Experience with JTAG, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, or oscilloscopes.
- Exposure to Linux, RTOS, UEFI, Android, Zephyr, or similar embedded platforms.
- Knowledge of device drivers, DMA, power management, and interrupt frameworks.
- Familiarity with multiprocessor or multicore systems.
- Understanding of firmware-software-hardware interactions.
