Senior Engineer, Plasma Modeling

Overview

Senior Engineer focused on plasma modeling and physics-based digital twin/predictive modeling for semiconductor processes, materials, structures, equipment, and products.

What you'll do

• Develop and deploy digital twins and predictive models across process, wafer, die, package, and manufacturing domains.
• Create structural and multiphysics models to evaluate process–structure–performance interactions.
• Build physics-informed composite AI models for technology development, yield improvement, reliability assessment, and design-space exploration.
• Apply computational methods, machine learning, and sparse-data modeling for semiconductor challenges.
• Use GenAI/LLM/agentic AI workflows to integrate engineering tools, knowledge bases, simulation environments, and manufacturing data.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to translate modeling insights into technology decisions.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of modeling experience.
• Experience in algorithm development, numerical methods, and scientific computing.
• Experience with plasma, including FPM and HAR etching, and MC modeling.
• Solid background in thermodynamics, physics, and chemistry.
• Familiarity with machine learning and deep learning concepts and applications.
• Experience with programming in Bash, Python, FORTRAN, or C++.
• Education: Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry, Applied Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
