Overview
Engineer (Electrical) supporting electrical design deliverables, drawings, and BOMs based on customer requirements.
What you'll do
- Provide support and develop electrical design, drawings, and Bill of Materials from customer requirements.
- Prepare and update schematics, SLDs, wiring diagrams, Panel GA/layouts, earthing/grounding layouts, and cable routing drawings.
- Develop cable termination diagrams, interconnection diagrams, and cable schedules.
- Produce BOMs, equipment layouts, load lists, and datasheets with correct part numbers and quantities.
- Maintain drawing quality, revision control, and CAD standards.
- Ensure designs comply with standards (e.g., UL508A, IEC, NEMA, BS, European, IS, NEC, IEEE) and internal design guides.
- Support design reviews and participate in concept through troubleshooting with customer and internal team members.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent to electrical engineering.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in industrial machinery/equipment, discrete product machinery, or electrical panel manufacturing.
- Experience with calculation and selection of AC load calculations and related low/medium voltage switchgear systems.
- Knowledge of low and medium voltage motor control systems and single/three-line diagrams, panel IGA/OGA, electrical wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.
- Knowledge of materials, components, and equipment used in electrical installations.
- Knowledge of electrical safety practices and procedures, including NFPA79 and safety interlocks/safety switches.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and Zuken E3, including symbol creation and library/detailed drawing work.
