Engineer - Electrical ( Detail Engineering)

Overview

Engineer - Electrical (Detail Engineering) working on proposals and projects with responsibility for safe, compliant, reliable and cost-effective engineering design and execution.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement engineering practices, workflows and procedures.
• Review engineering work activities and monitor workflow.
• Deliver design and execution work within contractual framework, quality, schedule and cost targets.
• Ensure compliance to the Discipline Manual and Job Manual during project execution.
• Manage technical procurement activities and review/approve vendor documents.
• Provide site assistance by replying to site queries.
• Perform MHRS calculations using a discipline calculation tool.

What you'll need

• 3–6 years of experience in EPC or detail design engineering company execution of projects.
• Experience in inspections of electrical items such as motors, switchgears, UPS and DC systems.
• Experience with vendor drawing review for items including transformer, MV & LV switchgears, UPS & DC system, and LV VFD.
• Familiarity with international standards including NFPA, NEC, IEEE, ANSI, IEC and IS.
• Skills in risk/opportunity anticipation and recommending mitigations during execution.
• Ability to coordinate interdisciplinary workflow with effective communication.
• Tool proficiency in ETAP, DIALux and Auto-CAD.

Nice to have

• Experience in VSI & LCI soft starters and LV VFD.
• Experience working on large machines 5 MW and above (induction, synchronous motors and turbines).
