Engineer- Flow and Thermal

Overview

Perform flow and thermal analysis of circuit breaker, circuit protection and allied electrical products to predict thermal performance, working with teams in India, Europe, US and China.

What you'll do

• Perform flow and thermal analysis of circuit breaker and circuit protection devices and allied electrical products for thermal performance prediction.
• Partner with teams located in India, Europe, US and China, understand specific design intent, and develop and validate analysis models to substantiate engineering designs.
• Handle medium complex technologies related to conjugate heat transfer, flow estimation and electronics cooling, independently delivering quality results within stipulated timelines.
• Validate analytical predictions with physical testing to mature DP capabilities.
• Contribute towards maturing identified technical capabilities in the flow and thermal domain from the ES Americas portfolio.
• Work closely with product and analysis experts to develop and validate digital prototypes that mimic product physics and predict key CTQs.
• Ensure Analysis First deployment on low/medium complex electrical components and assemblies.
• Highlight apt technical and schedule risks on assigned low/medium complex programs and work towards mitigating them.
• Work with SMEs to effectively support simulation requests and manage workload.
• Participate in ES Americas level initiatives and contribute solid value add.
• Learn DFSS fundamentals and implement them on programs.
• Embrace continuous improvement initiatives and demonstrate consistent increase in value from project deliverables.
• Create valuable IP to expand the innovation envelope for organization growth.
• Explore emerging AI and machine learning trends for applications in the thermal simulation domain.

What you'll need

• Master's degree in Mechanical or Fluids and Thermal from a reputed institute.
• 0-2 years of experience in the flow and thermal domain.
• Strong background in heat transfer and fluid mechanics.
• Thorough understanding of CFD analysis fundamentals and 1D models.
• CFD, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, simulation tool expertise, and AI/ML in simulation.
• Ability to coordinate and communicate with all stakeholders following project management best practices.
