Engineer - Layout

Overview

Engineer - Layout responsible for analyzing technical requirements, selecting and designing solutions, and creating drawings and engineering outputs to meet customer-specific requirements.

What you'll do

• Analyze technical requirements and identify possible solutions.
• Select the optimal product/solution that meets customer needs.
• Clarify unclear requirements with relevant stakeholders and decide the solution.
• Design solutions and/or components to meet customer-specific requirements.
• Create drawings, engineering structures or other relevant outputs for the solution.
• Understand basic cost levels of different components and solutions and utilize cost knowledge in your work.
• Take safety, codes and standards, installability, maintainability, manufacturability and sustainability into account when making engineering designs.
• Self-check your own work outputs and participate in checking colleagues' work outputs.
• Report work progress in a timely basis.
• Communicate deviations from the given customer specification and pass work outputs to relevant parties on time.
• Share knowledge and skills with colleagues as a member of an engineering team.
• May act as a local or global trainer.
• May contribute to development projects for tools and processes.
• May support R&D and other stakeholders in the Change Request/Product Development process, and similar tasks.

What you'll need

• Strong Mechanical Engineering background.
• Proficiency in Mechanical 2D AutoCAD.
• Strong communication skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of any European language.
