Engineer - Manufacturing Engineering

Overview

Engineer responsible for industrialization of new projects, especially Pinheaders and Mechatronics Package products, including tooling, automatic assembly lines and end-of-line testers.

What you'll do

• Understand customer requirements and technical and product requirements defined by the Product Engineering team and the customer.
• Develop suitable manufacturing processes and automatic assembly lines in consultation with Product Engineering and the core competency center.
• Troubleshoot product and process problems.
• Prepare, ensure and maintain the Bill of Process.
• Prepare engineering and production documentation meeting Aptiv and customer/IATF audit requirements.
• Ensure the Bill of Process follows benchmarks from industry and other Aptiv sites.
• Identify robust, cost-effective manufacturing solutions.
• Work with the cross-functional team, automation and tooling teams, and suppliers for timely completion of projects.
• Provide training to team members.
• Complete other tasks assigned.
• Work with the quality team for qualification of parts and processes.
• Support PPAP activities.

What you'll need

• Experience with terminal pin overmoulding and stitching for Pinheaders.
