Engineer-Mechanical

Overview

Mechanical Engineer working on system/sub-system design and modifications for UPS products or switchgears, supporting cost-out and manufacturability.

What you'll do

• Design mechanical structures and assemblies for UPS/switchgears/panel boards.
• Support concept generation, prototyping/testing, drafting, CAD modeling, and PLM release.
• Develop design guidelines, best practices, and lessons-learned documents for the sustaining team.
• Build mechanical assemblies/parts and resolve issues tied to product cost-out.
• Investigate reported concerns, discuss with stakeholders, and propose solutions for form/fit/function.
• Manage Enovia PLM change orders and ensure quality of deliverables.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma (root cause analysis) and plan work for on-time delivery and first-pass yield.

What you'll need

• 3-5 years of experience in product design.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering in Mechanical.
• Expertise in sheet metal design and drafting.
• Intermediate knowledge of DFMA/manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in PLM process.
• Proficiency in Creo/SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving/process management skills.
