Engineer – Mechanical Component

Overview

Engineer – Mechanical Component to support design, development, validation, and continuous improvement of diesel engine components and systems across the product development lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Support design, development, and validation of diesel engine components and subsystems.
• Execute engineering activities including concept development, calculations, material selection, DFMEA, tolerance analysis, and design verification.
• Develop and maintain component specifications, validation plans, and engineering documentation.
• Present technical solutions and project status during design and technical reviews.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, quality, validation, and supplier teams for manufacturable, cost-effective solutions.
• Support validation and test activities with data analysis and technical issue resolution.
• Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to improve performance and reliability.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical product design, development, validation, or related engineering roles.
• Experience supporting component or subsystem development projects in engines/rail/automotive/heavy equipment or similar industries.
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, DFMEA, and GD&T.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel as required.
