Sr. Engineer

Overview

Sr. Design Engineer for Flight Control Actuation in Bangalore, working on airworthy aerospace actuation components and collaborating with global stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Convert specifications into airworthy mechanical, electromechanical, and hydromechanical products.
• Conceptualize and perform detailed design of parts and assemblies for primary and high-lift flight actuation systems.
• Optimize machining and manufacturing aspects for parts made via machining, casting, forging, and additive methods.
• Conduct tolerance layout and tolerance stack-up based on functionality and materials/processes.
• Create engineering deliverables including 3D models and 2D drawings, documents, and reports.
• Support customer technical proposals including RFI and RFP activities.
• Drive design-engineering automation initiatives and ensure on-time, quality deliverables.

What you'll need

• 8-10 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of aerospace materials, heat treatment, surface treatment, and preferred manufacturing methods for airworthy parts.
• Ability to produce tolerance analyses for product functionality and processes.
• Experience with full development life cycle for aerospace products.
• Mechanical Engineering graduate or Postgraduate in Machine Design (or equivalent).
• Ability to communicate clearly in global oral and written communication.

Nice to have

• DFSS exposure (RSS/Monte Carlo, DOE) for design robustness checks.
• DFMEA, DFMA, CIs, and KCs assessments.
• Requirements management using DOORS.
• Performance analysis and modelling using MATLAB-Simulink.
