Engineer, Mechanical Engineering for Valmet’s Pulp & Energy Circularity Business Line, based in Chennai, India.

What you'll do

• Prepare detail design drawings for pressure vessels, tanks, and structures from engineering specifications.
• Create detail drawings and 3D models using tools such as AutoCAD, SW, and E3D.
• Study inputs before starting detail design.
• Apply applicable codes and standards including ASME, EN, and IBR.
• Follow guidelines and double-check check prints before handing over to the lead engineer.
• Maintain check prints and manage time schedule and quality of deliverables.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of codes & standards, E3D, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with SolidWorks/E3D design tools.
• Boiler area pressure vessel and tanks modelling in SolidWorks, plus detail engineering knowledge of tanks and support structures (minimum 5 years).
• Effective written and oral communication skills in English.
