Primary Project Engineer - GIS

Overview

Primary Project Engineer for GIS focused on primary design engineering for high-voltage switchgear and timely delivery of 3D and drawing outputs for customer substation configurations.

What you'll do

• Design primary engineering for high-voltage switchgear products.
• Ensure timely submission of 3D modeled HV products based on inputs from the technical project lead and design department.
• Coordinate with project management, design engineers, and secondary design teams for design aspects.
• Prepare 3D modelling of HV switchgears (e.g., GIS, hybrid switchgear, live tank, dead tank breakers).
• Generate BOM and create part numbers using SAP/ERP.
• Review 2D and 3D drawings and coordinate with customers to get engineering drawings approved on time.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• 4 to 6 years of experience.
• Hands-on experience with Creo and Windchill.
• Experience in switchgear mechanical design.
• Knowledge of relevant international standards such as IEEE and IEC.
• Understanding of manufacturing drawings and electrical schematics.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
