Engineer - Mechanical (LV Switchgear)

Overview

Engineer (Mechanical) for designing and validating Low Voltage (LV) switchgear. The role focuses on 3D modeling, 2D drawings, and supporting NPI/sustaining/NTI projects.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings for components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies for LV switchgear.
• Support design activities to align with customer requirements, cost targets, and market expectations.
• Assist with system/component sizing, simulation, testing, and validation through industrialization.
• Contribute to part and product design with emphasis on manufacturability and assembly using plastic injection molding and sheet metal design.
• Support engineering analysis of arc chambers, current paths, and contacts.
• Collaborate on compliance with IEC and UL 60947 and other relevant standards.

What you'll need

• B.E. in Mechanical.
• 4 to 6 years experience.
• Experience with drawing creation and GD&T.
• Knowledge of plastic molding and sheet metal design.
• Practitioner of Enovia implementation.
• Experience using UG-NX and SolidWorks for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
