Overview

Senior Software Applications Engineer responsible for providing software systems expertise, supporting customer requirements, and helping commercialize and maintain Qualcomm products.

What you'll do

• Present software systems expertise for business development, training, demonstrations, customization, commercialization, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with teams and customers to identify problems and debug software systems.
• Recommend solutions for customer design and software issues.
• Drive architecture and feature customizations from proof of concept through commercial launch.
• Assess product applications and prepare product specifications.
• Write technical documentation, application notes, and FAQs.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, a master's degree with 1+ year of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, a PhD in engineering, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
• 1+ year of programming experience with languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
• 1+ year of experience with debugging techniques.
• Verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience interacting with leadership.
• Customer-facing experience.
