Overview

Engineer (Structures) to design and develop structural simulation models for Eaton’s electrical products, covering structural mechanics and dynamics.

What you'll do

• Develop and validate structural simulation models to substantiate engineering designs.
• Understand and evaluate system/sub-system/component requirements (CTQs) with internal and external customers.
• Deploy digital prototype methodologies on electrical problems and across Eaton product lines.
• Coordinate stakeholders to define static and vibration analysis requirements.
• Interpret, summarize, and communicate analysis results and provide technical/design recommendations.
• Validate analysis approach against test outcomes with critical reviewers.
• Track quality measurements related to digital prototyping methodologies and deployment in product design.

What you'll need

• Master’s degree (MS/MTech/M.E) in Mechanical/Automobile/Aerospace/Applied Mechanics Engineering (full-time).
• 1–2 years of experience in structural analysis domain (mechanical and electrical/electronic products).
• Thorough knowledge of Finite Element Analysis and Strength of Materials.
• Knowledge of Theory of Vibration and Vibration Fatigue.
• Hands-on experience with CAE tools including ANSYS Workbench, Abaqus, and n-Code.
• Excellent English communication (oral/written) and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a team.
