What you'll do
- Support standardization of rack and elevating-structure designs for the Capacitor & Filter unit.
- Perform mechanical verification of capacitor bank structures and assemblies.
- Conduct seismic analysis for capacitor bank structures and coordinate review of internal/external results.
- Create and maintain 3D models, drawings, design rules, interfaces, and engineering templates.
- Coordinate with engineering, project, manufacturing, sourcing, suppliers, and stakeholders to meet functional, safety, quality, and cost requirements.
- Define standard materials, components, interfaces, tolerances, and fastening methods to reduce design variations.
- Maintain engineering documentation, standard libraries, revision records, and project deliverables.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- 5–9 years of relevant mechanical design experience.
- Hands-on experience designing fabricated steel racks, support frames, elevating structures, or comparable equipment.
- Structural engineering hands-on experience using Ansys and CAD tools.
- Strong proficiency with 3D CAD and drawing tools; PTC Creo and Autodesk preferred.
- Mandatory familiarity with structure-design codes and applicable standards (e.g., American, European, DNVGL).
