Senior Structural Engineer

Overview

Senior Structural Engineer for the global buildings sector, supporting the Building Structures team with structural design development, coordination, and quality assurance.

What you'll do

• Assist with development, coordination, and quality assurance of structural designs across concept, preliminary, and detailed design stages.
• Develop detailed designs from schematic designs under guidance of senior engineers.
• Create details/sketches and provide details to CAD technicians.
• Communicate and coordinate effectively on assigned structural tasks within the discipline.
• Ensure compliance with AtkinsRéalis QA/QC procedures.
• Check the work of graduates, technicians, and administrative staff.
• Manage one’s own time and the time of others reporting to them.

What you'll need

• Masters degree with 8-10 years of work experience.
• Sound understanding of finite element analysis.
• Proficient in at least one of STAAD Pro, ETABS, or SAFE.
• Compliant with QA/QC procedures and implementation of procedures.
• Working towards chartership from institutes such as PEng, IStructE, or ICE.
• Conversant with Financial Systems.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of AUTOCAD & Revit Structures.
• Experience working on American & Canadian standards is an added advantage.
• French language (read & write).
