Overview

Mechanical Engineer 4 in Lam’s Global Products Group, designing mechanical and electro-mechanical systems for etch and deposition products.

What you'll do

• Support the mechanical systems lifecycle from concept through productization.
• Perform CAD modeling, development, and test/validation activities.
• Conduct feasibility studies, testing, and validation of design performance.
• Run detailed analyses including structural, thermal, FEA, stress, vibration, and flow dynamics.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for design reviews.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure manufacturability and cost optimization.
• Provide deliverables such as FMEA, specifications, risk analysis, and test specifications.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experimental and design background.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting thermal systems for high-temperature use (650°C and above).
• Strong written and verbal communication and technical presentation skills.
• Ability to produce engineering documentation aligned with SEMI and GD&T practices.
• Solid engineering skills in design and analysis to specify designs.
