Engineer Team Lead, New Markets Singapore

Overview

Engineer Team Lead for New Markets in Singapore, leading engineering for brokerage and platform services in the region.

What you'll do

• Architect and deliver scalable brokerage systems (gRPC microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, vendor integrations).
• Advance the core platform for multi-region, multi-currency, and regulatory context.
• Own API quality, performance, and operational readiness for regional workloads.
• Lead, coach, and develop engineers in Singapore, setting priorities and quality bar.
• Serve as a senior escalation for incidents and improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
• Partner with Product, Compliance, and local stakeholders on Singapore/regional requirements.

What you'll need

• Strong backend engineering in Go (or equivalent) and distributed systems at scale.
• Staff-level impact with architecture ownership and cross-team technical leadership.
• People leadership experience with direct or matrix leadership (1:1s, performance, delivery).
• Financial services/fintech/brokerage exposure including trading lifecycle, settlements, and regulatory awareness.
• Excellent communication in English and comfort with regional/global stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in Singapore or APAC regulatory and market context.
• Experience with microservices, Kubernetes, and cloud (GCP/AWS), plus event-driven design.
• Open-source or strong community presence.
