Engineering Manager -Data Center Thermal & Cooling

Overview

Engineering Manager for Data Center Thermal & Cooling, leading a mechanical/thermal/power electronics engineering team and driving cooling and thermal management technology roadmaps for AI-driven data centers.

What you'll do

• Provide front-line leadership and technical direction to a team of 8–10 engineers.
• Drive technology strategy using market trends, customer needs, competitive landscapes, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies.
• Lead advanced engineering and NTI programs from concept through commercialization with risk management and milestones.
• Own workforce planning, resource allocation, and organizational capability development.
• Manage engineering budgets, technology investments, laboratory infrastructure, capital expenditures, and engineering tools.
• Develop and execute talent strategies for hiring, engagement, succession planning, retention, and capability development.

What you'll need

• Master’s degree in Mechanical/Thermal Engineering.
• 8–15 years of experience in a multinational environment working with OEMs/Hyperscalers/data center customers.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams in thermal/cooling/power or related technologies.
• Experience collaborating with North American and/or European stakeholders.
• Exposure to cooling and infrastructure topics including liquid cooling/direct-to-chip/immersion cooling and CDU systems (preferred).
• Skills in strategic agility, drive for results, motivating others, managerial courage, decision quality, and business acumen.
