Engineering Manager: Chiller Product Development

Overview

Engineering Manager for chiller product development, leading mechanical and design engineering activities for industrial refrigeration and chiller products.

What you'll do

• Lead and develop a team of mechanical and design engineers for chiller product development.
• Own end-to-end product development from concept through production release.
• Prepare and review 3D models, engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Generate and review pressure vessel and heat exchanger drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across manufacturing, quality, supply chain, procurement, marketing, and customers.
• Drive product improvements for performance, cost-effectiveness, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Support validation, design reviews, and engineering changes; mentor the team.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 10+ years of experience in industrial refrigeration or chiller product design and development.
• At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and refrigeration cycles.
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Creo.
• Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, and stage-gate methodologies.
• Experience creating and reviewing engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with ASHRAE, ISO, PED, ASME, or API requirements in product development or compliance work.
• Exposure to pressure vessel and heat exchanger design for industrial refrigeration applications.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, procurement, or field issue resolution in a product development environment.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement practices in an engineering or manufacturing setting.
