Senior Design Engineer

Overview

Senior Design Engineer working on medical device components/modules, including research, design, development, verification, and documentation in a regulated environment.

What you'll do

• Research, design, develop, modify, and verify components/modules for medical devices.
• Translate design inputs into engineering specifications and sub-system level designs.
• Prototype one or more options to provide proof of concept.
• Apply fundamental and some advanced problem-solving concepts and procedures.
• Create or refine engineering documentation such as the Design History file and follow design controls and risk management.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Project Management to support project success.

What you'll need

• BS in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical).
• 2+ years of work experience.
• CAD expertise (4.5 years–7 years).
• Conceptual knowledge with fundamentals clearly understood.
• Manufacturing drawing and mechanical design experience.
• GD&T knowledge.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of mechanical engineering practices and design principles.
• Technical ability to create engineering drawings and models using GD&T and CAE tools.
• Experience applying knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to product design.
• Ability to communicate basic plans and technical information to team members.
• Good to have MedTech experience.
