Project Engineer, Program Lead

Overview

Project Engineer, Program Lead role in Lam India’s WETS Deposition team, supporting product development engineering. You will lead mechanical product-definition and drafting programs across global cross-functional stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Lead mechanical product-definition and drafting programs across cross-functional stakeholders.
• Own program-level delivery accountability for cost, quality, and schedule commitments.
• Define, establish, track, and continuously improve team-level KPIs for execution metrics.
• Manage operational activities for a contract workforce of up to 20 engineers without direct people-reporting responsibility.
• Ensure CAD deliverables and engineering documentation meet quality expectations and program milestones.
• Coordinate work priorities, workflows, and deliverables to close program milestones on time.

What you'll need

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
• Hands-on CAD experience creating and reviewing drawings (sheet metal parts, machined components, assemblies) using Creo or NX.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI standards, GD&T, welding symbols, and surface finish requirements.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in capital equipment or a comparable industry (medical equipment, automotive, or aerospace).
• Proven track record managing multiple parallel programs with risk management, prioritization, and stakeholder communication.
• Experience establishing and improving process checkpoints for drafting quality, schedule adherence, and cost discipline.
