Overview
Manage a team of 10+ engineers delivering ergonomic virtual assessments, simulations, and standards validation for global automotive manufacturing programs.
What you'll do
- Recruit, train, develop, and mentor manufacturing engineers.
- Set team priorities, objectives, performance goals, and review processes.
- Ensure ergonomic and manufacturing deliverables meet quality and timeline requirements.
- Manage workload, resource planning, budgets, and delivery status.
- Support teams in analyzing and resolving complex manufacturing problems.
- Drive continuous improvement using quality and delivery metrics.
- Collaborate with regional, global, plant, and technical stakeholders on technology roadmaps.
What you'll need
- 15+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, equipment, facilities, materials, and operations.
- Hands-on experience with CAD, Teamcenter, and Manufacturing Engineering tools.
- Experience with VisMockup, Process Simulate, Vis Jack, or Classic Jack for 3D human modeling.
- Knowledge of vehicle assembly, General Assembly, launch processes, Quality Chain, and DFMEA-PFMEA.
- Strong communication, collaboration, project planning, and relationship management skills.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience in ergonomic assessments or simulations.
- Exposure to programming or software customization.
- Knowledge of AI/ML applications in manufacturing and predictive analytics.
- People development, change leadership, results orientation, and strategic orientation.
Details
- Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
- Work arrangement: Hybrid, with office attendance four times per week or as directed by the business.
- Travel across regions may be required.
