FEA Engineer

Overview

Develop, validate, and standardize 1D, 2D, and 3D HVACR simulation models and execute simulation-driven product development for compressor and HVACR components.

What you'll do

• Execute FEA and multiphysics simulations for product development.
• Develop and implement simulation models for HVACR systems, subsystems, and components.
• Develop and interpret high-fidelity FEA simulations of compressor components and assemblies.
• Provide recommendations on performance, strength, manufacturability, reliability, and cost reduction.
• Verify and validate simulation models using test plans and available test data.
• Communicate project status and simulation results to stakeholders.

What you'll need

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with 1D and 3D simulation tools.
• Experience with structural analyses including static, dynamic, fatigue, vibration, thermal-stress, contact, nonlinear, and vibro-acoustic analyses.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaborative interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Simcenter 3D, ANSYS Mechanical, GT-suite, or equivalent FEA software.
• Expertise in FEA preprocessing, mesh generation, and mesh quality assessment.
• Python or other programming experience for simulation automation and workflow integration.
• Experience with rotating machinery, compressors, pumps, fans, or turbomachinery.
• Experience with CFD, multiphysics, optimization, or design of experiments.
