Overview
Field Applications Engineer (DoD SkillBridge) acting as a primary technical bridge between RF systems engineering and customer needs, providing remote/on-site support, training, troubleshooting, and field integration.
What you'll do
- Provide high-tier technical assistance remotely and on-site for CRFS customers.
- Maintain and deliver user training for CRFS systems and software.
- Perform diagnostics and high-level repairs on CRFS equipment office and in-field.
- Deploy to customer locations to support configuration and installation of CRFS equipment.
- Develop test plans and summary project reports for customer exercises and field activities.
- Support sales teams with system capability demonstrations and technical advice.
- Manage demonstration equipment and inventory calibration, updates, and deployment readiness.
What you'll need
- Active US service military member with ability to gain approval for the DoD SkillBridge program.
- Solid RF concepts understanding (frequency, power, spectrum analysis) and proficiency with test equipment.
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field (or relevant military technical school experience in lieu of a degree).
- Experience working on static-sensitive equipment in ESD-controlled environments.
- Basic to intermediate networking skills including TCP/IP, subnets, VLANs, and hardware configuration.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in specialized software and standard OS environments.
Details
- Work location indicated as Virginia Remote Work.
- Travel up to 50% (primarily domestic with some international) for customer sites and trade events.
- Relocation provided: none.
- Relocation/travel requirement also stated as Under 25%.
