Field Applications Engineer (FAE)

Overview

Field Applications Engineer (FAE) focused on enabling adoption of Altera FPGA-based solutions at customer accounts through technical support, demonstrations, and issue resolution.

What you'll do

• Identify, influence, and enable adoption of FPGA-based solutions at key customer accounts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Field Sales Engineers, other FAEs, and product teams.
• Cultivate relationships with customer engineering teams to develop and expand opportunities.
• Use deep FPGA product knowledge to drive sales and position solutions for customer applications.
• Assist customers with architecture definition, solution evaluation, and FPGA/IP/development-tool design and implementation.
• Develop and deliver product demonstrations and participate in on-site customer visits for design and reviews.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of hardware engineering experience (e.g., as stated).
• Experience in FPGA, ASIC, and/or digital design.
• Experience with FPGA development tools (e.g., Quartus, Vivado).
• Experience with VHDL or Verilog or SystemVerilog or OpenCL or HLS tools.
• BSEE or related electrical/electronic degree.
