Field Service Engineer

Overview

Lead maintenance operations for a desalination plant, ensuring safe, continuous uptime across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.

What you'll do

• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize uptime and production.
• Supervise maintenance personnel, including operators, technicians, and contractors.
• Respond to breakdowns and emergencies and perform root-cause analysis on recurring issues.
• Run safety and compliance activities, including toolbox talks, audits, inspections, permits, and PPE adherence.
• Maintain and support multiple desalination systems including RO/NF and related units.
• Manage spare inventory, procurement (PR/PO/GRN), warranties, and vendor/service contracts.
• Prepare maintenance budgets, cost reports, RCA/incident reports, and daily/weekly/monthly logs.

What you'll need

• Have 5–10 years of relevant experience.
• Hold a BE/BTech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Manage teams across operations, technicians, and contractors.
• Demonstrate equipment troubleshooting and root cause analysis for failures.
• Ensure safety compliance (toolbox talks, audits, permits, PPE, standards).
• Prepare and maintain technical maintenance documentation and reports.
