Field Service Engineer

Overview

Field Service Engineer to execute and support low to medium complexity service work for DCS Automation Systems in the Hydro Power/Power industry.

What you'll do

• Execute service work per work instructions and ABB processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
• Plan and execute customer work using a first-time right approach.
• Deliver installation, service, maintenance, and commissioning of DCS Automation Systems for large-scale projects (100+ MW).
• Provide on-site and remote support for issue resolution and commissioning activities (medium to high complexity).
• Lead project teams during major commissioning assignments and ensure safety and customer communication.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve system reliability.
• Prepare material lists and coordinate parts, tools, and equipment readiness.

What you'll need

• 3-5 years of experience in DCS systems within the Hydro Power/Power industry.
• Knowledge of process control and instrumentation in DCS.
• Experience handling large projects (100+ MW).
• Skills in installation, service, maintenance, and commissioning in DCS.
• Ability to manage commissioning activities across Pan India with 70-80% travel.
• Diploma & B.E/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, or Instrumentation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
