Finance Executive (Cost Controller)

Overview

Finance Executive (Cost Controller) supporting month-end closure, cash handling, reconciliation, and petty expense disbursement.

What you'll do

• Assist with month-end closure by preparing journals in the accounting software.
• Ensure reconciliation of ledgers including advances, vacations, indemnity, and accrued salaries.
• Count and verify daily cash deposits from cashiers, deposit them promptly, and resolve discrepancies with providers or banks.
• Disburse petty expenses to the department according to hotel policies and procedures.
• Participate in hotel float audits with the income auditor and report discrepancies to the Financial Controller.
• Support cashiers in resolving cash-handling problems as needed.

What you'll need

• Excellent cash handling skills.
• Ability to adhere to hotel guidelines for cash handling, disbursement, and cheque encashment procedures.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule to complete major responsibilities and tasks.
